Article 54 of the Mexican Federal Labor Law

In the case of section IV of the preceding article, if the disability arises from a non-occupational risk, the worker shall be entitled to be paid one month’s salary and twelve days for each year of service, in accordance with the provisions of article 162, or if possible, if he so desires, to be provided with another job compatible with his aptitudes, regardless of the benefits that correspond to him in accordance with the laws.
