Article 25 of the Mexican Federal Labor Law

The written document stating the working conditions must contain:

  1. Name, nationality, age, sex, marital status, Unique Population Registry Code, Federal Taxpayers Registry and domicile of the employee and the employer;

    Section amended by the Decree by which several provisions of the Federal Labor Law are amended, added and repealed, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on November 30, 2012.

  2. If the employment relationship is for a specific work or time, seasonal, initial training or indefinite term and, if applicable, if it is subject to a probationary period;

    Section amended by the Decree amending, adding and repealing several provisions of the Federal Labor Law, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on November 30, 2012.

  3. The service or services to be rendered, which shall be determined as precisely as possible;
  4. The place or places where the work is to be rendered;

    Section amended by the Decree by which various provisions of the Federal Labor Law are amended, added and repealed, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation of November 30, 2012.

  5. The duration of the workday;
  6. The form and amount of the salary;
  7. The day and place of payment of the salary;
  8. The indication that the worker will be trained or trained under the terms of the plans and programs established or to be established in the company, in accordance with the provisions of this Law; and
  9. Other working conditions, such as rest days, vacations and others agreed upon by the employee and the employer.
  10. The designation of beneficiaries referred to in article 501 of this law, for the payment of salaries and benefits accrued and not collected upon the death of the workers or those generated by their death or disappearance derived from a criminal act.

Section added by the Decree amending, adding and repealing various provisions of the Federal Labor Law, the Organic Law of the Federal Judiciary, the Federal Public Defender’s Office Law, the Law of the National Workers’ Housing Fund Institute and the Social Security Law, in matters of Labor Justice, Union Freedom and Collective Bargaining, published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on May 1, 2019.
